Monday 10/5 For our topic, we decided to focus on Employment Rates based on level of education. Target focus: Female losses from getting high paying job or having a family (Employment vs Family) What stands out: Based off data, regardless of any education a female receives, they have a lower employment rate than males Conditions women work in: global gap harder to find jobs hired for lower positions The global labor force: 49% for women and 75% for men Working from home Struggling to balance a home/family 70% of women prefer to work in paid jobs regardless of their employment status Female college graduates have 20% fewer chance then women who just graduated high school Story: Females are either losing out on more income or losing out on a family. Showing the decisions women have to make to have a family or better job Visualization Goals: Possibly allow user to interact to put in their information and see the results of their data.
